The different Ranch Experiences

Spring and Fall roping and dragging of calves

The calves are roped from horseback and drug out to a group of "muggers" that gives shots, de-horns, ear tags and castrates bull calves.

Spring and Fall Ranch Experience

In the Spring and Fall cow calf pairs have to be gathered up and brought into the sorting pen. They are sorted off and run up in to the squeeze shoot for preg checking . Spring time may get to experience the prairie pasture burns. Fall time may get to wean calves.

Weaning of calves

This happens twice a year. Fall calves are weaned in July . Spring calves are weaned in October. Weaning is done in the pasture.

A  Ranching Experience Adventure

Shipping of cattle

Cattle in all different stages of age are shipped. They could be steers that have been put out on grass for 90 days then go to feed lots. Days start in the dark to get ready for the truck to pick them up. Shipping in the cool of the morning is the best on the cattle.
